Diamond 4C Quality Guide

Understanding diamond quality is essential when selecting timeless fine jewelry. All of our diamonds are graded according to the international GIA 4C standard — the global benchmark for premium diamond beauty, rarity, and value. This official guide helps customers easily compare diamond grades, make confident purchases, and recognize true luxury craftsmanship.

Introduction to the 4Cs

The four core factors that determine a diamond’s appearance, sparkle, clarity, and value are: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight.

Every stone in our collection is carefully selected and expertly matched to deliver maximum brilliance, fire, and long-term luxury wearability.

1. Diamond Cut (Most Important for Sparkle)

Cut is the most critical factor affecting a diamond’s shine. A well-cut diamond reflects and refracts light perfectly, creating outstanding brilliance and fire.

Cut Grading Standard
Grade Definition Features
Excellent Premium Perfect Cut Maximum sparkle, ideal proportion, symmetrical, highest light performance.
Very Good High Quality Cut Great brilliance, minor proportion difference, excellent daily shine.
Good Standard Cut Acceptable sparkle, suitable for simple everyday jewelry.
Fair / Poor Low Grade Cut Dull light reflection, less brilliant; not used in our luxury pieces.
Brand Standard: All our luxury diamond jewelry uses Excellent / Very Good cut diamonds only, ensuring premium sparkling effect.

2. Diamond Color Grade

Diamond color grading measures colorlessness. The closer to colorless, the rarer and more premium the stone.

GIA International Color Scale
Grade Level Description
D / E / F Colorless Completely transparent, zero tint, top-tier luxury grade.
G / H Near Colorless Almost colorless, invisible tint to naked eye.
I / J Slightly Tinted Very faint warm tint, acceptable for daily wear.
Brand Standard: Our high-end custom pieces mainly use D-H color diamonds, delivering pure white brilliant sparkle.

3. Diamond Clarity Grade

Clarity evaluates internal inclusions and surface blemishes. Natural diamonds naturally contain tiny unique mineral characteristics. Higher clarity means cleaner and rarer stones.

GIA Clarity Scale (10x Magnification Standard)
Grade Level Explanation
FL / IF Flawless No internal or external imperfections; extremely rare collector grade.
VVS1 / VVS2 Very Very Slight Inclusions Microscopic inclusions, invisible to naked eye.
VS1 / VS2 Very Slight Inclusions Tiny minimal inclusions, perfect for luxury daily jewelry.
SI1 / SI2 Slight Inclusions Minor inclusions, invisible under normal wearing view.
Brand Standard: Our customized luxury diamonds range from VS2 to VVS1, achieving perfect balance of clarity, sparkle, and long-term value.

4. Diamond Carat Weight

Carat refers to diamond weight (1 Carat = 0.2g). Larger carat weight represents larger size and higher rarity.

  • Carat size does not solely determine value: A well-cut smaller carat diamond often sparkles brighter than a poorly-cut large diamond.
  • Custom Calibration: We precisely match carat size according to each 18K gold design for balanced proportions.
Common Reference Carat Size
  • 0.1ct – 0.3ct: Mini accent stones
  • 0.5ct: Classic elegant daily size
  • 0.8ct – 1.0ct: Main luxury center stone
  • 1.0ct+: High-end collector level diamonds
